In the last two years, unprecedented heatwave eruptions across Europe have created a great deal of public life. Such an unprecedented heat flux to Europeans is the first in life. Even in Sweden and Europe, millions of hectares of forest land were burned. Ignoring all these things, when a politician is busy matching various equations of politics, a teenager gets in the way.
The world is warming up, the polar ice is melting, sea-ocean water is rising. The reason for this is the use of fossil fuels. Though this is not going to reduce fuel consumption, so she protested. Her purpose was very clear, to raise awareness about reducing the world’s warming and reducing fossil fuels (oil, gas). Greta mentioned that despite scientific evidence, only because of the power of money, no effective steps are being taken to reduce global warming. Greta Thunberg did not lie. Fossil energy production, including marketing, involves billions of dollars of financial resources. Therefore, companies involved in the oil and gas production process will never want their production to stop. They spend billions of dollars hiring lobbyists in Washington. These lobbyists work for those companies. We all know about the “Seven Sisters”. These are seven private companies involved in the production and marketing of oil around the world. These companies control 5 percent of the world oil reserves.
In each region of the world, where there are oil reserves, these Seven Sisters have taken place. They throw many rulers of the world into their ‘payroll’. If a head of government opposes them, they do not hesitate to remove them. It is said that because of their influence, the United States signed the COP-20 deal to prevent warming in the world in the 21st, even though President Trump came out of the COP-20 deal. Where no one dares to say anything against the powerful country of the world or at the epicentre of power, the 16-years-old Greta scoffs at “How Dare You”, but it becomes clear to everyone in the world how Greta must have a hard time in the future for her courageous speech. A wall of fear and criticism will be erected around her. All are easy moves in world politics.
Instead, Ms Thunberg tends to focus her ire on political leaders. Her brand of environmentalism, however, does not appeal to everyone. In particular, those who “don’t like being told what to do” and feel children “don’t have the right to say these things”. The 17-year-old is the figurehead of global climate change activism, urging governments to listen to scientists and take action against climate change. Not everyone wants to hear Thunberg’s message and there is a growing chorus of people who say she and her obsessive condition are being exploited for political purposes. Many people think climate change is an opinion. But it’s not an opinion, it’s a fact.
Attacks on Greta Thunberg Come from a Coordinated Network of Climate Change Deniers. Many people have already spilled thousands of words of commentary explaining how personal attacks on Greta — often lobbed by old white men, sometimes mocking her Aspergers — are unacceptable. But understanding where those attackers come from, ideologically and professionally, casts an important light on some of their dark statements. That’s because a large subsection of the commentarial driving the abuse of Greta is part of an established network of radical free-marketer lobby groups, a network that has firm ties to the fossil fuel industry and funders of climate science denial. You don’t have to look far to find the source of these ever-growing waves of hatred. They flow from the national-populist, climate-denying, sexist, racist and antisemitic extreme right-wing party.
But climate denial does not explain it all, far from it. Hatred against Greta Thunberg is all the more vicious because the target is a woman, a young woman. A young woman who is not afraid to accept herself as she is, with, as she herself says, her different personality. A brave, determined, intelligent, sensitive young woman who knows what she’s talking about. A young woman who expresses herself very clearly, in the name of youth, in the name of the future, and does not hesitate to face the powerful with cheerful insolence.
